This workshop has several options to choose for the Family & Consumer Sciences Pathway.

**REGISTRATION OPEN TO FIRST 24 TEACHERS**

 

Workshop Fee = $120.00 (Monday Session)

                           $60.00 (Each Camp) **Fees include lunch, snacks, materials

  

 

Conscious Discipline Training = Monday, July 15 ONLY (Fee = $120.00)

  • Participants in this session will learn the Conscious Discipline Brain State Model  which will teach you to recognize and respond to three critical internal states that determine our ability to connect, learn and problem-solve. 
  • Through discovering how to recognize and respond to adults and children operating from a Survival State and helping them access higher brain states we can model and create a connected, compassionate culture for learning where caring, kindness and contribution are the norm. 
  • This understanding allows us to teach in ways that encourage healthy self-regulation, including control impulses, solve conflicts and regulate emotions.

FAID Camp = Tuesday, July 16 - Thursday, July 18

  • Apparel Construction Basic Skills Sample Book
  • Window Treatments: Fabrics, Measurements, Elements and Principles of Design
  • Chief Architect for Interior Design (Gain knowledge and skills of this program)
Culinary Camp = Tuesday, July 16 - Thursday, July 18
  • Food Handlers (Culinary Essentials 8.1)
  • Knife Skills (Culinary Essentials 8.2.3, 8.2.4, 8.2.5, 8.5.1)
  • Ethnic Cuisine (19.4.2)
  • NOTE:  If you do not hold a ServSafe Managers Certificate - Tuesday session is REQUIRED.
