Laura Strickling was praised by The New York Times for her, “flexible voice, crystalline diction, and warm presence.” She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall, Tanglewood Music Festival, Ravinia Music Festival, Trinity Church on Wall Street, Washington National Cathedral, and the Afghanistan National Institute of Music. A devoted recitalist, she has performed with the Brooklyn Art Song Society, Lyric Fest of Philadelphia, Joy in Singing, Liederfest in Suzhou (China), Mexicoliederfest, Trinity Concerts at One, Songfest, Yellow Barn, and was a featured performer at the 2016 New Music Gathering.

Upcoming projects include the release of Confessions – her first solo recording of American art songs, Poulenc’s Gloria with the Asheville Symphony, recitals at Mercer College and College of William and Mary, Messiah with the Indianapolis Symphony, the World Premiere of Tom Cipullo’s opera The Parting, and the publication of an anthology of 21st Century American art songs she has curated for the New Music Shelf. A Chicago native, Laura currently makes her home in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
